Sugar Detox

This sums it up ya’al…sugar detox day 2…

I wasn’t able to get much sleep last night (I have a hard time saying no to people and was working until close to midnight) but I feel a bit run down this morning, but that’s totally normal when you(I) are detoxing from sugar.

I get cranky and headache and tired, but it doesn’t last long and then I feel GREAT! So got to get through the blas to get to the ahs!

A random thought I had this morning was “Dom you are CRAZY for doing this rightt before holidays!” and then “Im done being owned by sugar!”

SO here goes! Cheers! To health and happy brain and body!

October Weekend Fun

Happy Monday ya’al! Had another great weekend.
Friday was LONG. I nannyed  from 7am-10pm! Friday night I took the two boys I was watching to see The Minion movie at the local budget theater. $3.50 a ticket is an AWESOME deal.

Saturday morning I met up with the meetup girls to walk the Bob Jones Trail -6 miles from land to sea trail in Avila CA

It was sucha beautiful day and chatting makes the miles fly by. On our way back some of us stopped at Woodstone     Market for lunch. I had a yummy turkey wrap with bacon and avocado

Got home around 1:30 a took a nap!

Saturday evening we got Chinese take out and went to Andrew’s mom’s for dinner. So fun! I had my typical egg roll and fried rice 🙂

Sunday morning woke up to clouds and rain!! Yay! We need rain so desperately.

Got in a 50 minute hike/walk with my friend Julie and her dog Rocky.
Came home and heated up some left over fried rice.

Sunday afternoon I caught up on life, napped, and prepped for the week ahead.
Would LOVE to hear about your weekend 🙂

So Predictable

I thrive on routine, but as I posted a while back Im learning to live outside of the box and switch things up 😛
This being said I will always have some favorites that I’ll do, eat, read etc. On that list are Trader Joe’s tamales…well Trader Joe’s in general but back to tamales… they take 4 minutes to heat up and they are way yummy.

Ill always drink lots of water! I LOVE water! Soda makes my nose tickle and alcohol is not my friend. Tea comes in a close second but seriously love love love water!

Sherbet…its a new obsession that I partake in every few days. Only about three spoon fulls, but I saver every bite.

Naps are another part of my routine. Thanks to college I used to think I couldn’t make it through a day without one, but recently Im shocking myself. I get up at 5am and sometimes don’t get home until 10pm but I rarely feel the need to nap.

Walking is my preferred choice of movement (hate the word exercise) I could walk all day every day! Not something I plan on changing soon except maybe doing more of it.

I have been challenging myself to get out of the house more and networking and this is so not me but has been SO good. Like life changing and business building!

Im gonna challenge you to do one thing in the next week that is UNPREDICTABLE of you!!! Post below when you do!

Central Coast Weekend Living

What a fun and FULL weekend! Started on Friday as soon as I left my morning job. Got some Arbonne time in at Scout (favorite coffee shop in SLO) with Paige (From Healthy Hits the Spot-check out her blog)
Friday night we joined 7 other ladies at Guispees in Pismo Beach for a ladies night out and some YUMMY food. I LOVE Italian food! I ordered the butternut squash ravioli…um delicious isn’t even the word! Fresh baked bread with a cheesy garlic spread!! It was heavenly!

Here’s my food and our group of ladies !

Saturday morning I went on a trail ride through the vineyards in Santa Ynez! BEAUTIFUL! Didn’t get photos of our ride but a few before.

I rode Nick a 6 year old quarter horse with a heart of gold and an easy going personality.

Saturday evening I went to Paige’s for a fun movie night  (We saw The Best of Me a Nicholas Sparks movie) she made us homemade popcorn  (um AMAZING) and there was wine and fruit. Lots of laughs and tears because who doesn’t cry at least once during a Nicholas Sparks movie?!
Sunday was a quiet day finally. I hiked with my hiking buddy Julie and her dog Rocky in the morning. It was SO HOT, but we we got out there and did it!

We are having strange weather here lately, but it makes for beautiful sky’s!

Amazing and breath taking!

Would love to hear about your weekend! What did you eat? Where did you go?

Succulents, Hikes, & Good Eats

What a wonderful, full, creative, & active weekend!
Friday night Andrew and I went to one of our favorites, Olive Garden, & shared the yummy Tour of Italy. Sharing is good for the wallet and the waistline 😛

This is HALF and I wasn’t able to finish it all!
I then skipped off to my first solo flight to Home Depot! I’ve had some creative ideas in mind but not the time or finances to put into them.

My goods!

The end result! Thinking I will get another one but for the week this looks awesome and saves space!
Saturday morning I went hiking with some girls I met on We hiked the Lemon Grove trail on Modonna Mountian. Two of the ladies were familiar faces  (My sweet friend Paige from Healthy Hits the Spot and fun Nina and her dog Macy) & 3 new faces! LOVE meeting new people.

We made it to the top 🙂

Saturday night we had a yummy BBQ at Andrew’s Mum’s. (Its an English thing; -))

Potato salad, pork and ranch style beans and iced tea (anotherone of my obsessions)
Sunday morning brought protein shakes and more hiking for me!

After grocery shopping and another Home Depot trip it was time for a hearty lunch of chicken tamales from Trader Joe’s and some quite reading time.

I ended my day re-potting plants and settingup my little succulent area on my back patio

In LOVE with this peice of furniture my friend Traci gave me! Andrew is not a fan, but my plants love it and I love it so that’s all that matters 😛

Hope you had a fun filled weekend with lots of family time and good grub. Today, Monday, is a regular work day for me with a fun coffee date planned with a friend this afternoon!

Goal Digger

Happy Friday!! Goals and list have always kept me on task and focused, now even more than ever. I set daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly goals for my business and I am learning to do this for all areas of my life. When I plan and stick with a plan I dont fail!

With each Monday and each month and each season I feel like we get new starts. September marks the start of the autumn/fall season. A time of reflection and anticipation and preparation for the winter ahead. Now here on the central coast of CA we don’t get winter per-say but you can still feel change and growth in the air.

My goals for September are 1)To keep promises I make to myself as I was beginning to loose credibility with myself. 2)Do one task at a time. ie When I am eating I am not also on my phone, when I am writing I dont have a bunch of tabs open on my computer. When I am spending time with Andrew I am not constantly checking my phone. (notice a technology theme 😦 3) Less time on social media! 4)More adventures with friends and family. Starting this weekend I am going to hike Modonna with a group of girls on Saturday and Sunday Andrew and I are going with friends to Monto de Oro!

Would love to hear some of your goals and resolutions for this fall!

Dom’s Day

Thought it may be fun for you to experience a day in the life of Dom. Not very glamorous but productive 😛
5am I’m up and doing my Miracle Morning (Thanks Hal Elrod) I mediated, do affirmations, read, (my current read below) journal my gratitude list and end picturing what Im bringing into my life!

I grab a quick breakfast and head to my morning “job” 7-1. Much of my day looks like this…Well and plus a 3 year old.

After morning job, I take a few hours to build my Arbonne business. Some days with 1:1 coffee appointments, work sessions, or networking events. One of my September goals is to use my time wisely and be very intentional.

What’s your day look like?
